Frank Lloyd Wright’s Westcott House 2016

June 2016 | Springfield, OH

For the second year in a row, at the end of teaching summer Design Studio, I made my own piece and this time was able to map it onto a free-standing wall which Dylan Bertram and I constructed for the students' work.  This piece is made up of a small vocabulary of detail photography from the Westcott House (Springfield, Ohio).  It recombines elements and movements based on a 2 minute cycle, includes internal logic, and it responds to ambient sound -in this case people talking and a bed of electronic music -and it recombines elements and movements based on internal logic.

Music is by Mexican Gourd Trick.
