Live Mural | Sight Unseen

1.27.17 | Mokedo Studio | Seattle

Built to be part of a multi-artist evening at Mokedo, this piece was partly self-organizing, and partly responsive to the room's dynamics. The piece responded to the audio level in the space and to discreet audio events by changing energy states, in terms of motion, content, complexity, color and light. The overall effect was meant to be an organic, living reflection of, the space in real time.

The content, built in three layers with three masking images on top of them, slowly cycled so that the overall pattern would never quite repeat. As time passed, the images moved from simple, to more complex, sparse to crowded, and then back.

The ambient music was a mix by dj manos.
