Terminals

A collaboration performance with Ha-Yang Kim in Seattle’s Chapel Performance space. The visual component was designed to accompany the musical score, and was sequenced and mixed live.

Details

Due to some bad luck for another visual artist, I was asked to step in and collaborate with Ha-Yang Kim on her composition: Terminals. Ha-Yang performed alongside Hahn Rowe and Heather Bentley at the Chapel Performance Space. I created about 10 distinct visual pieces, to correspond to the musical movements, which I played live. In order to take advantage of the awesome space that is the Chapel, and to create a sense of immersion, I used four projectors, and, rather than mapping them, just organically blasted them across the entire back wall and up to the ceiling.

This amazing installation/performance was a part of the Wayward Music Series.
